Review: Belkin TV Link

My experience has shown time and time again that belkin products are terrible and buggy. They rarely if ever provide firmware updates which makes it all the more frustrating. Rather stick to linksys or netgear.

I don't get it, what's the point of this device? As far as I can see it's just a network switch with a wireless access point. It can't even act as a router, it has no wan port as far as I can see. But why does it cost R1200 when there are many similar devices out there that can all that and much more for about R600.

Coz it's black, shiny and has cool blue lighting (50% premium right there) :D
But seriously, the thing can't even share a USB device at that price??

I'd rather splash out on one of these:

Dual band, USB device and printer sharing....

I'm kinda sure this is actually called a Belkin Smart TV Link and not a Belkin TV Link.

From the pictures it looks exactly like the Belkin wi-fi range extender I bought this weekend to get rid of the wi-fi dead spots in my house. Sofar that is working flawlessly.
