Why didn't the owner take the bullets out before they cleaned it? Silly mistake with severe consequences.

A SECURITY officer who works for a cash in transit company was taken to hospital this morning in a critical condition after an accidental shooting in the Alton suburb of Richards Bay.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha paramedics responded to the incident at around noon.

Yes! he is a troll ....

We need more gun control.

Pity you don't first READ the full story before making stoopid comments.

Unfortunately, the more persons use fire arms, the more complacent they get ..... I was watching a cash in transit guard the other day in a crowded shopping parking lot, "clearing his firearm before getting back into the vehicle" This is what he said he was doing when challenged. Everything he did was against what those of us (all proficient Hunters) know about the handling of firearms in public places ...

He acknowledged that what he was doing was against the company rules , but justified his actions because he has to " do it hundreds times a day" .... Complacency and familiarity breeding contempt.

Won't be surprised if the same was what happened in this incident.

I have heard horror stories about security companies and guns. The guards usually get the minimum training necessary with lots of shortcuts taken.

And I'm guessing that as mentioned above, familiarity breeds contempt.
