Right-wing elements are "misusing" the ANC's sensitivity to diversity, Gauteng secretary David Makhura says.

"We [ANC] have been extremely sensitive to the diversity of our people... we think this sensitivity has been misused by the other side," he said in Johannesburg.

"Our sensitivity has been taken for a ride... We are talking about those who oppose the transformation in South Africa."

Makhura was briefing reporters on a meeting of the tripartite alliance partners - the ANC, the Congress of SA Trade Unions (Cosatu) and the SA Communist Party - in Gauteng.

He referred to name changes, court action against the use of struggle songs, and court applications against affirmative action as examples of this opposition.

"Right wing" action in these areas showed that they were "gain[ing] confidence to challenge the progressive and revolutionary forces on [a] number of issues".

"They have gone as far as to seek to use the courts to challenge the policies of the country," he said.

The Freedom Front Plus and AfriForum have both lodged complaints with the legal authorities over ANC Youth League president Julius Malema's singing of the song with the words "Dubula ibhunu (shoot the boer)".

In February, trade union Solidarity won an affirmative action court bid to have Captain Renate Barnard promoted to superintendent after she was denied the position by the SA Police Service over affirmative action considerations.

"Who says that the right wing itself is not there in our courts?

"We are pained by this confidence of right wing elements."

Cosatu provincial secretary Dumisane Dakile said political gains obtained through democracy were being challenged by this group in the country's courts, and also questioned whether the courts themselves were transformed.

What a load of BS. We have a constitution to protect minorities. The "righwing" use the courts to protect themselves from the ANC. They should be happy that they are not using violence like their own supporters.

lol sensitivity, the ANC should go buy baby powder for their ''sensitivity'' problem.

If the ANC behaved in terms of the Constitution and the Freedom Charter none of this would happen !

They presently have a rogue leadership that is breaking all the principles that the party used to stand for.

Now it's just greed, corruption, racism and incompetence !!!

We, the Afrikaners, are only starting to stand up for what's right! Now we're right wing!
But changing city names, without the town's citizens' consent, and singing racist songs, is all very well!
This country is becoming a bigger joke, day by day!
oohh, I love this comrades of ours!!!!

No, it's not really the right wing... it is pretty much all the members of other colours in South African (including some black people). And it's not that we are insensitive, it's just that we think you are a bunch of clueless idiots. :D

It sucks to work in a democracy, eh ANC? You have to abide by the rule of law, ne? Differing opinions because of diversity. The dreams of ANC becoming the NP of the 80s have been dashed on
the rocks of pragmatic constitutional reality.

Of course they could just annul all courts and declare ANC as the only party and make Zuma, president for life.

and also questioned whether the courts themselves were transformed.

What's a transformed court, a court that only agrees with the ANC?

This type of BS is very worrying. These guys are heading towards dictatorship.

Well, nobody can say they didn't see this coming a mile away. As these idiots lose popular support (due to complete failure at service delivery, and, well pretty much everything else) they move closer to their Zanu-PF counterparts. No surprise here.

Ah, now you are beginning to understand. Soon it will be made illegal to accuse Government or "elected" officials. And any criticism will be considered treason, punishable by death even though there is no death penalty for murder. Zimbabwe leaders will soon be coming to SA for advice in how to screw human rights over.

Where is our knight is shining tinfoil to tell us this is good news?

And where are our ANC-voting friends to tell us they fully support licking JZs bollocks for the next 30 years?

I have said it before and will say it again, this gvt is warning whites to get out or shut up and be treated like 2nd class citizens.
The ANC does not want us here, simple as that.

But while we *are* here, I intend to make it as difficult as possible for them. In fact, I would suggest that if there were no white in ZA, this wasteland would already be a Zim2.0

I actaully expected all this *** to happen after the world cup?
A buddy in the UK says it's all over the newspapers as it's before the worl cup, which is a good thing in one way but he is constantly asked whether the "natives" are hacking up people with pangas yet and if they will get raped when they come over in June?
Some B&B's in Cape Town have had cancellations from soccer lovers who don't wnat to be hacked to death or murdered.

I read somewhere yesterday that SAA are offering 45 000 tickets at a discount. Apparently some block bookings for flights just got returned because no overseas visitors wants them. Methinks the only soccer fans that are coming would be from Africa. They do not need flights. They simply come here on foot. Normally they just walk through the borders and once they are here, the have no intention of ever returning to their country of origin.

Cheaper World Cup tickets available - SAA

South African Airways will sell 45 000 plane tickets it had reserved for the Fifa World Cup at a discount, an official said on Tuesday.

"Match initially required 45 000 return seats for the World Cup. But the number of seats they required kept dropping until it got to 1 000," SAA spokesperson Vimla Maistry told reporters.

I hope he warns them off. Since the ANC openly support genocide, chances are more in favour of violence, than not.

Why work hard for it when "whitey" can do the work for you and you then come in and grab.

Still, it's bad publicity for SA and those of us that will be trying to make money out of it, I bet Seth Blatter has aged 10 years and is regretting giving something this big to "africans"

The the users here still consider it BS now that there is really a contract offered on his head?
