Can somebody please educate me on the benefit/value add of this?
For those of you who have it, what are the benefits?
For those without, what are the alternatives if any?

a friend is using one, says he does not need all the fancy graphs for the battery, only use would be to update the firmware for the battery !!!!!!!

Yes definitely worth it...shows the SOH as well as the cycle count etc...which helped me identify a "damaged" battery..
Without the riot, would not have know this...
