Some people would say similar things about pro-gun nuts.

Most normal people are in the middle of this debate, you are more similar to "anti-gun loons" than you want to admit, just on the opposite extreme.

I'm not even really that anti-gun. If I lived on a smallholding or farm in SA I'd probably get one.

I just don't subscribe to the "good guy with a gun/an armed society is a polite society" BS, or that the answer to a gun problem is MOAR GUNS!!

Of course they have their place though.

Yup same here, no issues with guns in general, just think that common sense training, and precautions seem like a good idea, same as we require people to do before we let them on the road behind the wheel.

Not owning or wanting a gun doesn't automatically make you anti-gun, I know a few firearm owners that have a few guns themselves but are staunch anti-gunners.
 
Heavily pro-gun, I'd say .... but only for those with legal privilege to write laws.

Definitely no equality before the law on gun rights.

p.s. Equality before the law, to pinko's, is like a cross to vampires.

Yup, believe it or not I'm not as anti-gun as you think. I just think that too many idiots have them. And no, I'm not referring to you - I get the impression you are quite a responsible gun owner.

Because it's also kind of obvious that in a lot of instances they are a problem. Like in the US of A.

Maybe their population is a bit stuffed in the head, and yes obviously guns are inanimate things as is always said, but you wouldn't go and hand out AKs at Valkenburg because "Guns don't kill people" blah blah.

A gigantic issue you always overlook is, criminals do not abide by any legislation, laws, regulations, restrictions etc etc etc...

Yes, they will always be there, sadly. We also don't need the gun waving road ragers, pub fight escalators and Oscar the bathroom ninja types. They make the world more dangerous too, and sadly not only for themselves.
