“Racist” gets thrown around so loosely these days that it almost loses meaning. To me, it’s less about whether someone hangs out with white or black people and more about whether they judge or treat people unfairly because of their race. Malema or Mngxitama might share a meal with white folks and still say things that come across as hostile to whites, that’s why people slap the label on them.

And no, buying food for someone at the robot doesn’t automatically make you “not racist.” It just means you showed kindness in that moment. Racism is more about the patterns in how someone thinks, speaks and acts, not one-off gestures.

I don't ever recall Kirk wanting a "Christian only" world. But even if he did, it does not give anyone any right to murder him or anyone else who said this or the opposite. There are many people who would love an atheist only or a Muslim only or a progressive only society - they have a right to these views and they have every right to debate and promote them as long as they don't promote violence.

No. You're not denouncing a clear case of murder. You're trying to spin this into victimhood and persecution of other people, but at the end it's Kirk who got the bullet and not someone else.

That is precisely my point. A racist can "help" community for politicial expediency. A person can assist a homeless person at the lights for IG photos. Racism is rooted in something far more sinister.

Are all the black people defending Kirk proof that he's not racist? Or are they "token blacks" as somebody put it, which then implies that they are too dumb to realise that they were being used? I want to see something...

Let me share my "principles" in relation to the song. I acknowledge the role of the song during the struggle for freedom but I believe certain things belong in museums, class rooms, lecture halls and other academic institutes, and not public spaces post 94. The song is one of them.

I'm sorry but its often more the people on the left side who call everyone a Nazi or a racist or bigot. Dude the concept is called 'repressive tolerance'. You dehumanise the opposition. You compare them to Verwoerd or Terrblanche, Hitler or the KKK and you've already won the war of ideas. The other side doesn't matter because how one one oppose DEI or affirmative action. Only a Hitler would oppose that. On the other hand "Kill the Boer" or the stabbing of a Ukrainian girl on a subway is a call for help, it's the only way that powerless communities have of voicing their 500 year old grievances. Soon we'll hear some woke libs claim that Ukrainian girl or Kirk should be honoured they acted as an outlet for a 1000 years of racial, gender and religious 'oppression'.

My opinions are based on videos I've watched (before his death) and not opinions of others. A lot on social media isn't what it seems to be.

So downplayed and treated with kid gloves then. OK. It's all part of the struggle, a struggle which should always have been against the armed authorities. You know in WW2 nobody in resistance movements targeted ordinary Germans, only soldiers, Gestapo and SS or government officials (or local collaborators) were targeted. But OK, some libs will attribute different standards to different people.

No, the song doesn't belong in public spaces post 94. It served a different purpose then. It should be restricted to museums and university lecture halls like the old flag.
