Ripped off

She sounds a bit dotty. Just ask her if she can return the r80 you lent her a couple of weeks back.

I bought something from a work colleque for R80. I told her to keep it until I can give her the money the next day (I did not have my purse with me). She said I should keep it and I subsequently gave her the money the next day. That was about two weeks ago. This morning she asks me for the R80. I told her that I already gave it to her, but I am not going to argue and I will give it to her again! I am so peed off now - I know I gave her the money - R80 is nothing off my back - but she basically implied I am lying! She is in her early sixties and doesn't seem all there sometimes. So okay, I gave her the money now but I am furious! I will never buy anything from her again. (It was a piece of jewellry she made).

return the item, together with the receipt for your 2nd payment, and ask for a refund. no matter what she says, politely add that you'd "prefer not to keep anything associated with such unpleasant memories" :D

not being a walking advert for her jewellery and getting R80 back, should make you feel a lot better.

Same thing happened to me :

We were asked to contribute R60 for a gift and I paid mine (late). I also know the person, so no reciepts or anything.

I think she genuinlly forgot - but she asked me a week later. I said I paid and the 'oh ok ... If you think, its cool' reply just showed me she thought I was trying to weasel out of R60.

ha ha tell her you didn't get the jewelery in a day or 2 lol...

LOL! Every week, show her the E-Mail and ask her for the jewellery she promised. After a month or two I think you should stop :)

Exactly! That is why I paid AGAIN. But I send her a very snotty email...
