Anyone bank with RMB Private Bank? I'm trying to find the entrance requirements for transaction banking.

I've just about had it with ABSA's complete failure to deliver even the most basic of service, its gotten to the stage where if I don't get the same level of banking at another bank, I'll close my ABSA account and go for standard banking at FNB.

You need to earn R1m and above per year or have at least R3m in investments.

Not quite there :( Although, same as FNB....

Wonder if I can get them to consider me... I mean I do have a R1,6m bond I'm prepared to move :)

What do you mean the same as FNB? :/

Their requirements as strict?

Oh wow!

FNB Private Clients offers specialist private banking solutions to entrepreneurs, business professionals and other individuals, who typically earn an income of at least R1 million per annum or have investable assets in excess of R3 million.

Yeh - RMB is also linked to eBucks, which is nice.

I've sent them an email - and Investic...

I'll then try the easier ones such as Standard and Nedbank....

If all else fails, back to FNB standard banking :)

Only reason I like private banking is the services and people made available to me - and I use them - ABSA's wealth planners are the only department at ABSA Private that have proven themselves to being very good, and not out to make a quick buck - if possible, I'll keep the advisor I currently use there.

and that has to be basic salary. bonuses don't count.

Well the last I checked when I worked for RMB assets totalling R10M is the minimum to get your own banker with RMB. I am sure RPM is with them :D

LOL - entrance requirement is as above, 1mil. (and they stated that does not guarantee acceptance)

wow..entrance requirement over 1 mill.
Hopefully i'll get there someday :)

Thats only relevant if you can pull some strings to get me in

PM your banking details, and I'll see if you qualify.

Don't forget your internet banking details. It will make everything simpler, better, and faster.

I'm with RMB & Investec... It's just better service all the way. Give them a call or drop them an e-mail and see what that can do for you ;)
Good luck!

Nedbank is the easiest that I know of... something like R420k p.a. if I'm correct...

Had a look at their website - their private bank is equivalent to other banks Platinum sectors, not quite what I'm after... need a more personalized service.

Ok, no wonder they offered me Private Banking when I was doing my honours...Not doing CA thought as these people just get Investec Private banking when they start their articles.
