F-ing fast. Those were race spec enjines that produced 96KW back from 1988. Were also used as the Atlantic race engines before.

Series 5 4age gave new BMW M3 quite a go. which was not bad considering its only a 1600 cc

I suspect this one had heads done along with cam and followers. But yes a Twincam can rev 15 000 rpm and stay together. have seen a few 1600, 2000 and 3000's rev 10 000 RPM stock and not disintegrate. note this is only peak revs and not continues.

And then you get the guys in their big SUV's that think because their vehicle is slightly larger than yours and they are sitting slightly higher they are in fact higher up in society in general and drive like absolute pricks. I've had more than one run in with clowns like this but you can't seem to get them to pull over into the yellow lane to sort things out, they prefer to throw the finger and shout at you through an open window.

You honestly do feel bigger when driving one of these :D
 
And I found my Raging road user again this morning. Speeding heavily in pouring conditions forcing cars over in traffic.
From the area he stays to where he chased me he made a good 80Km detour...:D
