Road Trip Advice

I was brainstorming an idea of a road trip in December this year.
TO be honest I have not done one of these with the kids before. So I am a bit apprehensive.

Ideally this would be the itenarary:

PTA to Maputo. 4 days in Maputo
Maputo to St. Lucia. 4 days in St. Lucia
St. Lucia to Umhlanga freeload with family there
Return to PTA

However minimum stays during peak periods have to be considered.

Do you think this is do-able?

Maputo is nice but not really that great for kids, rather stay some where else in Moz.
