Oh my god is the government completely blind, for the last 13 months Gauteng has stubbornly refused to pay, yet they think they can somehow extended? Are we really dealing with completely brain dead individuals?
 
Gotta love how the delusion ANC government works. They can't even recover the costs of the project now they want to extend it. Instead of taking the recommendations they want to fleece users at every avenue to pay for it including e-tolls.
 
Fuel levy will probably go up until etollers pay up. Which should be seen as its own victory. City dwellers tend to commute further distances than the rest of the country anyway
 
Good luck expanding that POS ANC... the rest of the country is about as likely as Gauteng to pay you any money for it.

Waiting for gantries to quietly be erected in other provinces now... After the income-tax increase I doubt that even the few compliant people will carry paying.
 
Government seems to think they have lots and lots of "porential revenue" because the invoices are out there "in theory". In reality, they fail to grasp that we will not pay even a cent regardless of the amount on the invoice. Mail me one that claims I owe R1 or mail me one that claims I owe R 1,000,000. Your books might look different but it's all the same to me. Stop pocketing the money we duly pay and you can fund to your heart's content. Pay back the money bunghole(s)!

Whoohoo, e-tolls to stay with a reduced cap. Let me speculate, old cap was R450 the new reduced cap R449.99. It's reduced.
At least 70% of people will still have a reduced fee of R0 :twisted: cANCer just doesn't want to listen.

Indeed, I already have a reduced fee of R0, don't know how they plan on reducing that further, unless they will start paying me? LOL

Leave it to South Africa to make something work that failed in every country it was introduced. By funding the money from somewhere else. Just one question. Are those Austrians still getting value for their bribe if people don't pay tolls but the gantries remain?
 
They could make it R5.00 a month - I still won't sign my life away by signing up for the e-tag.

They would probably just increase the costs up to what they want once everybody has signed up anyway.

Yes there's nothing stopping them from increasing it once there's widespread acceptance. The only thing stopping prosecutions now is that there's no single person not complying. Better not change the culture or we're screwed.
