Road works on William Nicol

Anybody else live off William Nicol by Dainfern/Fourways?? Are you, like me, ready to kill somebody due to the construction and road works going on?

It's been 2 years+ since construction started. (Steffenutti Stocks trucks littered all over William Nicol).

Due to the construction causing traffic, at rush hour the taxis drive on the pavements and into oncoming traffic blocking residents from getting to their houses(of course there isn't a Metro cop to be seen, not that they would do anything). There's always construction vehicles on the road. The robots at Uranium road and William Nicol have not been working for 2 years. Lights and water being cut off to local residents regularly. Hours added to my travelling time. Petrol wasted.

By the time I walk in my house I feel such sheer hate and frustration I want to sell my house and move.

It seems laws in this country protect the corporations and government. The individual must just bend over and take it.....SANRAL is a fine example.

I am considering contacting lawyers. Anybody have any advice on this?

The construction is also bringing crime. There are 50 odd workers standing outside my complex every day. There have been several high-jackings and robberies in my complex. We are going to have to hire a 24/7 guard cause people are constantly trying to break into the complex.
I am going to have petition for a gated community.

Only option is to get a bike. Only problem is you have to dodge the oncoming taxis. They don't give a flying fk where they drive. You have to be an immoral pig to be a taxi driver in JHB.

William Nicol past Indaba is horrible. Thankfully I only have to go past there every other weekend but I would hate to be a resident in that area as the traffic is bad any time of the day. I would actually target Stefanutti with complaints (they actually manage traffic on William Nicol and Uranium as well as on Dainfern).

I think traffic will be substantially worse once construction is complete, as people will use William Nicol as a passthrough to/from N14 and traffic which currently chokes at Montecasino, will probably back up all the way to Leaping Frog.
