Malelane - At least five people, including three robbers, were wounded in two unrelated shooting incidents in the Lowveld at the weekend.

Read it this morning already........
Moz illegals .....

Countries welcome quality immigrants to contribute ......

Illegals must be kept out or they will ruin SA.....

Robin Hood, "rude" isn't really the word I would've used, but ya, I tend to feel the same. For every dead criminal with a gun, there's one less that can kill my friends and family.

I think we should rather shoot them.

They might like the nailing bit!

The less they like it, the better.:D

OOps! I read that as they might NOT like it.
......Kill them anyway.

Yes, your life has to be in direct danger. Knife in the arm, lead pipe over the head should suffice a shot to the robbers head. Otherwise dead men don't talk so its your word and you and your concions

...or i recon shoot first and hope he has a firearm somewhere :p

This business about a robber must first attack before you shoot him is this true?

You need to have a belief that your life is in danger. That's it. He doesn't have to be advancing, shooting, or anything. You believe.

The other side is when you appear before the beak. Here the arguement is in court with a whole bunch of facts and the judge trying to apply the 'reasonable man' test.

So the arguement will come down to your belief system - were you reasonable in believing that your life was in danger?

My advice - you shoot someone, get a lawyer. Say nothing, write nothing until you have spoken to your lawyer. You are going to be in a state of shock and will have someone trying to take a statement from you who may not have the necessary skills to write down an accurate portrayal of the event and you may just sign that without comprehending what you have agreed to.

Make sure that you get a signed and witnessed receipt from the plods when they take your firearm. Get their details.

Take your own photographs too if you can. They can help you with your memory if you need it.

And get trauma councelling.
