Anyone using roboguards and integrated into HA?

2 options for me.

1) buy alarm interface and bring it into paradox which then gets used in HA, only issue is it combines zones. Have 8 units over 4 zones.

2) use a Arduino or nodemcu and let it listen for the beeps or led lights and integrate into HA. Not sure how I could use this method to arm/disarm.

3)There is also the telephone jack which provides certain functions for the HQ

When I got armed response to install alarm for me, they laughed when I asked about roboguard. They suggested other beams outside instead.

The takex beams which you can buy from alarmtec.co.za

which you can integrate with sonoffs if you want or via the alarm system as a zone for each.

Some people swear by them.

Takex beams are pretty pricey, considering I need 9.

When you go into the iStore with your newest Samsung/Huawei phone and talk about that, you'll get laughter too. Does not say much really.

Not really a comparison though...

I get what you saying about istore employees laughing at Samsung, but they only that.

My question went to experts in the industry, they could have had me buy anything, they are not tied to a single brand.

They were even willing to install and connect the roboguards for me if I insisted.

Anyways, OP can still go with them if he wants to.

What current price have you gotten on a takex?
Let me clarify

I already have 8 units installed so wanting to make them smarter.

When I was looking at takex they were around 2 to 2.5k each . But that was about 2 years ago

1. Via alarm that integrate with HA
2. Sonoffs that you connect the output to the sonoff Sv, similar to how you connect a door contact to the Sv to see the door state. I suspect you will need the hub and 4 SVs so 4 zones.

Did you ever get this to work, I don't have HA (and don't want it at this stage) but looking for something simple to connect to the HQ (tele-cable output) to integrate and make arming/disarming as well as notifications a bit smarter.

I gave up on it and sold them and just linked everything through my paradox alarm.

ah man thanks. was hoping that it can't be too difficult.
Have emailed them, but obviously no response. Online search suggests JVA RF and wifi modules, but would prefer something more Sonoff/similar related.

Rom their manual.

I am looking at using the outputs to switch on various lights.

I connected my Roboguard and my old dumb alarm to HA using ESPHome and 2 esp2866s. It has been working well for a number of years already...
