Robots, 3D printing to lead tech’s future

Glad this came up rpm.

When we came over to the USA, I heard and read plenty about 3D printing and what was happening in the field and how it would change so many things and how some big companies wanted a 3D printer in every household in America, and now I don't hear anything except maybe one or two things on sites like Reddit.

What is happening with this technology and how has it taken off in SA? I see some machines being sold online there right now.
