Robots are coming for your job

First they came for IT, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't in IT.
Then they came for the factory worker, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a factory worker.
Then they came for the farmworkers, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a farmworker.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.
 
Robots does not complain, does not join a union, are not lazy, do not strike and never demand more money. Simple.
 
If you can be replaced by a friggin robot, you aren't really a "knowledge worker", are you? I mean sure, machines can have all the knowledge in the world, but using judgment and creativity, not so much.

Exactly. That's a scarcity unfortunately in Africa. AI are very undeveloped in Africa. ;)

Industrialisation and the displacement of skilled workers?

Nobody will earn but nobody needs to be paid either!

I think it is going to be damn difficult to program a robot to sit in the CEO seat the whole day, read newspapers, drinking coffee, shagging secretaries and talking sh**! It will be cheaper to keep the current ones in place. Just give them an annual raise and bonus and they can order it themselves...
