Hi Guys and Gals,

After my Roku 3 got the Netflix update nothing works on Netflix anymore.

I keep getting "This title is not available for instant viewing", or something to that extent, message.

I am using Unotelly to block my ip.

Does anybody have the same problem and can you please give me some advise if you were able to fix it.

Thanks!

First: Is Netflix working on your PC?

1. Sign out of the Netflix app on your Roku
2. Remove the app from roku
3. "Sign out of other devices" by accessing the Netflix account page using your PC
4. re-install Netflix on roku

I don't have a Roku but this issue is similar to the one on PS3/Xbox360.

You might have to access the Roku console and remove
your roku and re-attach it to a US Roku account.

Also the Roku doesn't have support for networking changes on the device. So are you sure
your DNS settings on your router hasn't changed?

If you still have an issue try using a smart DNS service from:
unblock-us
eleDNS

Have you tried refreshing your IP using unotelly? This always seems to help me out.

Yesterday when I wanted to watch something on Netflix I also got this message. After re- selecting Netflix, the channel loaded and then the Roku reset it self and after it turned back on I had to re-enter my login details for Netflix and then went on to refresh my IP in UnoTelly and all is working perfectly. Hopefully that helps.

I sometimes got this message on the old Netflix app, just quitting an opening the app again normally solved the issue for me.

Thanks People!

I got it sorted out. It was an issue with my ISP that filtered Unotelly.

I see most of the shows on netflix now comes with 5.1 audio (not sure what the name is exactly), is there anyway to change this to something else? I have a LG soundbar and it seems like it does not support that format. I know you can set it to stereo, but it feels like such a waste seeing that does support surround sound etc.

Hi!

Is anybody experiencing a problem with their Roku 3 and Netflix in the last week. I receive an error indicating that it in not available in my country as yet. It was working fine previously but just stopped all of a sudden. All my other devices work fine with Netflix.

I have been having the "Netflix hasn't come to this part of the world message" for the last few days. Have followed the instructions here: http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/193871- and tried both the IP's but without any luck. Please can someone help me out here? When I do the ping test they all get replies no matter which IP I use or how many times I restart the router.

I have had Netflix working for well over a year and only for the last week have I had these issues.

You need to set up a static router for 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

I did that, followed it to the tee but still nothing. Managed to get it working on my Mac using chrome but on my Roku it gives me the same error. When I check the details it says my account is ZA which is even more weird.

See here what I have for Static Route: Static Route.png

Any idea what else I can try?

I had the same problem and was prompted to correct my gateway address (I used my IP address). This could be your problem?

I noticed your gateway ends in 9 which is interesting. This should be the ip address of your router eg 10.0.0.1/2 or 192.168.1.1 etc

Why do you have such a weird address for your gateway? Remember it needs to be your router's internal IP (not sure whether the IP in the pic is your actual router IP)

edit: OldGoat beat me to it.

Kind of glad I was too cheap to buy the Roku 3. So far my roku 1 and Stick have escaped this nonsense.

I tend to blame the users and their DNS provider / network and not Roku or Netflix.

I've been running my own Netflix DNS proxy (see sig, that others on this forum have been using successfully for months) on my Roku 3 and have had 0 issues.

No, bud. I'm using your DNS and I had the same problem.

It might be related to a Roku 3's on a certain firmware

You can also try just blocking the IP addresses on the router's firewall, that's what I did and never had a problem.

When you say Routers Internal IP are you referring to the IP I use to logon to the router to make the changes?

I followed the steps on UnoTelly "Gateway: 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.253 or any other IP in your network that isn't being used" and neither of those wored so just used a random IP that wasn't being used. Should I rather use 192.168.2.1 (the one I use to logon to the router) or the IP address for the Roku?

edit: tried now with 192.168.2.1 but still don't get any error when I try and Ping 8.8.8.8 - Please can someone help?

Try blocking the IPs in your firewall on your router. Check my post above.

Anyone else having problems with Netflix now? Saying netflix not available in your country. Changed the DNS to overseas one's and still nothing...
