Roku hit by outage

Roku devices have been affected by an outage which lasted several hours, Variety reported.

Owners of streaming devices and TVs based on the platform were not able to load channels such as Netflix or YouTube, and reported that they saw an FBI anti-piracy takedown notice on their displays.

I didn't know this was even possible. If my Netflix didn't work because of an 'Apple TV outage' I'd be livid - Netflix, BBC iPlayer etc. are supposed to connect directly to the net ffs. Either Roku is weird or I have never understand how these boxes work.

Happens to me all the time on my PS3, when PSN is down then I can't touch Netflix and YouTube.
