Im still deciding if its worthwhile buying this device. Does it offer anything xbmc does not already offer?

Is it just a simplified version of xbmc for non-technical people?

Does it have 1channel like xmbc?

The Roku is designed around be a streaming player while XMBC is designed around being a player for local media.

It has lots of channels, if you use Plex you can install channels like 1channel through Plex (using the Yify channel, SSplex, LMWT, etc).

I only use my XBMC for streaming. There are over 300 streaming plugins. So basically Roku is streaming simplified?

I never found all of the streaming plugins I wanted for xbmc so I use both now.
