Rollover when changing packages

I was on a 2GB contract and changed to a TopUp 400. I was told the TopUp would kick in 1 June. I had 400MB left on my 2GB package but suddenly as of today 31 May i am on TopUp. By the time i realised it i had used 6MB so only had R387 left so had to buy a voucher so i could buy a 2GB bundle

Anyway, my question is: Does rollover not apply in this case?
And why would the package kick in today, i was planning on using that 400MB today

Best to ask 155. They'll be able to look at your setup.

Thanks, i called this morning to find what was going but she didnt seem sure and just said no when i said V4Me showed nothing.
Will try again just now though & see what someone else says
