Romance at work

*gets popcorn*....

Only DJSlay can come prancing into a thread and let his ego take over...

Go for it if you think she is interested as long as she works in a different department.

Also, keep it a secret and keep your relationship strictly business at work. Don't see her during lunch, tea breaks, etc. any more than you normally would. Compartmentalize. There is work during which you are just colleagues, no lovey dovey emails, etc. (Use SMS to set up dates.) and there is personal time after hours during which you do what you need to do.

I met my current girlfriend at work... at an office function actually - it involved a lot of alcohol... and not much recollection of the night.

We've been together for well over a year now... found out she was apparently stalking me around the office for a few months before hand. :p

Met my wife at work.

Dated 2 years, engaged 2 years, when we were married 2 years we had our first child and she is now 2 years old :)

the benefit of office romances is that you can make better assessments of your risk as opposed to meeting somebody for the first time and be more selective about your choices.
which means you can cut out the riff raff.
this sounds like riff raff.
if you're chasing riff raff, there's probably better options elsewhere.
time to expand your social group.

Just avoid her more. Shes an attention wh0re. She doesnt want you, she just wants attention. She needs male attention to feel good about herself.

So start ignoring her completely. If she wants you, she'll make it known. If she doesnt, she'll feel insecure, give you more attention, but not necessarily make a move. Just keep ignoring her and the problem will go away.

She sounds very immature. Woman are attention whores. Don't give her any. I don't know what so hard about not thinking about her. What makes her so special? Go out, meet someone else. IF she is interested in you she will make the next move.

Fuuuuuuuu...read my mind.

Just do what Ancalagon says.

You guys are right I will have to avoid her completely.

I think that's the big problem my social life is not that great (working on it thou) and she's the only available option at the moment.

If you avoid her more, she will seek you out, tap u and leave u.

Do this.
Since she like attention, maybe a secret relationship will woo her in.
Like tell her secretly, that you'll work together and dancing around with her will just be wrong.
If she is intrigued, rope her in, tap it, then let her go.

I just want to move on and forget her now life's too short to spend with people that's not worth it.

She's a cool chick but like previous mentioned she clearly not interested so it's pointless milking a dead cow.

Then why the HELL did you make the thread and waste my precious time replying to you?

The thread is about moving on since trying to get the chick didn't work. Not, so there's this chick at work I'm trying to pomp please tell me the easiest to do it.

Ok just to let you guys know I tried really hard but it didn't work out eventually. Every time I make an effort she ignores me then when I say screw it she comes running and dresses up really nicely and the prances around me. Then I'll will make an effort then she will move away.

This is really a waste of time but I still cannot get her out of my mind.

Any other advice?

I took you a whole year to figure this out and you are still confused?
