Romantic ideas for proposing?

I did it at home when the GF and I were alone.

On the night of the anniversary of us meeting for the first time. I put the ring on the collar of one of our cats and told her that something was wrong with the collar. When she saw the ring, she dropped the cat and it fled to safety as I proposed to her. We then spent 5 minutes looking for the cat so she could actually see the ring. Lots of fun and laughing.

Wherever you propose, ensure that her nails look fab (send her for a mani-its a minor detail that matters) and have someone is around to take a video/photo's.
