What you won't see in the mainstream media (the youtube video below).
Note that the following video was REMOVED from Youtube, this is typical, they have had to upload it again.

Sad of course, because this has been Ron Paul's message all along. Listen to what he is saying, not what you've been told he's saying. The man makes sense.
He's not a cardboard cut-out clone laying out the same old party-line that has continued to see America deteriorate year upon year; he's simply an American speaking from the heart desperate to save the sinking ship that is the US, and people are finally listening.

If the mainstream media would remove their heads from big business' a$$, Ron Paul would runaway with the Republican nomination and more than likely crush Obama as well.

Ron Paul on America's economy: Ron Paul vs Paul Krugman

Unfortunately Ron's method involve people getting off their arses and working.
So the lazy fsckers who want to live in a welfare state will never vote for him.

And of course the part where he is not linked to the globalist neocon agenda and would probably be assassinated if elected anyway.

Could they really risk making a martyr out of him. It's an extremely dangerous play to make, especially given that his son would more than likely take up the mantle.

His son, Rand Paul, is far more popular than Ron. And there is already talk by the Tea Party that Rand is a potential future president

I am a Ron Paul supporter (In most things), but if we are being fair, he had his ass handed to him by Krugman

Ron Paul failed to get his message across. Its a stupid excuse to criticise people for not listening, or the media. He failed to make his point. Thats his failure. Nobody elses.

I've followed Paul and loved the guy since 2007. So sad to see people only getting on the boat this late in the day. I don't care too much for Rand though.

It's strange that Ron Paul is not more popular with Republican part voters when one consider his racism.

Considering one of the Tea Party favourites, Herman Cain, is black, your trying to label republican voters as racist is just pure trolling

Not at all. Care to elaborate?

Business as usual will see the US economy tank. China and Japan have decided to bypass the dollar; India is paying Iran in gold for their oil; the near 16 trillion dollar debt is virtually impossible to rectify if it's business as usual. Ron Paul understands this.

Yes he does. And I agree with many of the economic theory he espouses (It is Austrian School of thought economics). But he addresses some of the effects of inflation, while ignoring Krugman's points on other effects.

The massive amount of money printing a few years ago didn't result in hyperinflation that he predicted would happen according to Austrian theory.
And while he is correct that inflation is tantamount to theft, that only applies to people with savings. With people with debt (Most people) inflation erodes their debt (And same for the Nation state) which is a good thing.

He has retarded economic policies that would send the USA back into the stone age. Even the moderate republicans can see this.

I'm no financial expert, so maybe you can lend some assistance... but the only reason why the continued massive printing of Dollars by America to pay off their debts (I think since 2007?) hasn't led to hyperinflation (like it has in all other countries attempting the same) is because the US Dollar is the world's reserve currency.

Countries for the moment are still holding on to their Dollars, but the rumours are doing the rounds that countries like China, who have billions invested in Dollars, will at some point jump ship and dump them.
I'm sorry but guys like ghoti who call Paul's economic policies "retarded" haven't looked at the current financial sink-hole that is the American economy. At this point you HAVE to have radicial ideas to fix radical problems. Business as usual is a guaranteed ticket to collapse.

Anyone who argues that a country should have their money printed by a private company; then have that money loaned back to the government (at face value); including interest; all while that company prints a $100 note for what, a $0.05 cost, should not be let anywhere near a presidency. In this case that private company is the Federal Reserve. Anyone with half a financial brain can see that the Federal Reserve needs to be shut down asap and have government take back the reigns of the issuing of money in the US. Kennedy tried but it cost him his life.

The exact same retarded politics that got America to be a world super power :), currently Krugman's policies got them into debt or inflation (depending on whether or not you have a republican or a democrat in charge).

I dont think it was the wild west that made them a super power :) They only gained significance in the world after they federalized and learnt to work together better. The more they worked together, the more powerful they became.

Ive seen lots of info on the "good ol days". There was chaos, crime, high death rate, low education levels. Before they socialized the fire service, the american fire service was a lot like our private security firms. You used to have whatever fire fighting companies badge on your door. If a group of fire-fighters came from an opposing company. They would just sit back and watch the place (and its neighbours) burn. Snake oil salesmen were allowed to peddle anything they want. No matter how many innocent woman and children died.

Aah... the good old days of libertarian ideals. It was way easier to hurt society and get away with it.

sounds like our government.! Logical fallacy 1. you're using half truths and truth by assertions here...

[ logical fallacy 2.

either way, I'm seriously not lus to engage in a libertarian vs whatever debate! (so I'll just let you win this one).

however what is interesting in the Paul vs Paul debate is what Krugman said that the Dollar didn't lose any of its value.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEoGKpnutyA&feature=related

which is total nonsense (check towards the end of the video). He compares the dollar to the Euro and the Pound and assumes that they are also stable, if you compare it to a commodity then you will find out that the dollar did indeed lose its value. Just compare that with the rand at home (which is pegged to the dollar), I can't even buy anything for R5 nowadays a few years ago I could get a coke and a packet of simba chips.

Ill give Ron Paul one thing. I agree with a a couple of his liberal views, I dont agree with his economics. He actually puts a couple of really good views out there that I agree that we should look at more deeply... but when he starts looking at the Austrian school of economics. I cant take him seriously. I do wish Murdoch liked him more... and got the media on him more. He was my favorite to win the GOP. Romney is lame.

You should move to Canada for a while Nico. Go check a system that works and the quality of life there. I have family over there and its amazing how much their world views changed when they actually got exposure to different environments :D

From where Im sitting Ron Paul made the most sense in that interview. Krugman was just espousing the same old broken theories that have brought us all dangerously close to the precipice.
