Rondebosch network issues

So my ADSL line has been down since Thursday last week (refuse to sync at all)
Phoned Telkom and they told me that there's a general network issue in the area

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? The line is still down today :(

Mine is disconnecting a lot tonight... also in Rondebosch.
 
In Rondebosch. I'm also experiencing serious issues with my internet... it's almost slower than dial-up and it's extremely unreliable. Telkom told me the same thing.

Also in Rondebosch, no problem what so ever. Perhaps I connect to a different exchange
 
Phoned again today and still the same story...
How long does it take for them to fix a network issue?
I have zero Internet :(
 
Also been having issues in Rondebosch for the past few days. I can connect at least, but speed test show's my 2mb line is running at about a 512 line speed. My ping to telkom sits around 800.
I've tried Afrihost, Telkom and an Openweb account - all the same.
When I called I wasn't even told there was a network issue in the area. Just some offhand remark about they'll look into it (after they told me something is wrong my side and I had to tell them to get stuffed and fix their network).

What can possibly be wrong with the network that's taking them more than a week to fix :(
At least you have some connectivity...I'm on zilch still. MEH!!
