I'm having the cd key authorization problem. What is the fix for this problem.

See this thread: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=99360

More specifically, see this post:
COD4's CD Authentication message is sent to the same ip address that the COD4 game is logged onto.

But, no worries, cos ISP's are allowing the local connections to transmit data to the COD Authentication servers.

Your problem happens cos the rely is expected to arrive on the international pipeline.

You'll have to add the following 2 international ip addresses as local ip addresses, and then it will work:
cod2update.activision.com : 63.146.121.11
cod4master.activision.com : 63.146.124.21

You could simply add those two addresses to the localroutes.dat RouteSentry file.

as always, pada 2 the rescue, thnx guy. I'll give it a try :D

nope, pasted

cod2update.activision.com : 63.146.121.11
cod4master.activision.com : 63.146.124.21

at the bottom of that file, saved and went into the game with no luck.

And my copy is legit cuz I've been playing until today when my cap ran out and switched 2 RS.

Oh and I've seen that thread, tried every thing, still no luck.

You weren't supposed to copy and paste:
Code:
cod2update.activision.com : 63.146.121.11
cod4master.activision.com : 63.146.124.21
You should've noticed that the formatting differed!

Anyhow, paste the following at the bottom of the localroutes.dat, disconnect the local connection and restart routesentry:
Code:
63.146.121.11,255.255.255.255
63.146.124.21,255.255.255.255

ah thnx, worked like a charm, btw for future reference, if only the ip address is given, can I assume that the subnet mask is 255.255.255.255?

yes. subnet mask 255.255.255.255 is for a single host.
where as ip 192.168.137.0 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 is for all 192.168.137.* IP addresses.
To check if the destination falls in that group, take the destination IP address and do an AND operation with the subnet mask. If the answer is equal to the IP used with the subnet combination, then that route would be used.
eg. if you have a route for IP 192.168.1.128 mask 255.255.255.128 and you want to check if 192.168.1.160 falls in that route block, take
Mask | Destination | IP
255 AND 192 = 192
255 AND 168 = 168
255 AND 1 = 1
128 AND 160 = 128
This means that 192.168.1.160 DOES fall in the 192.168.1.128 mask 255.255.255.128 range.

HELP!!!, it's back, I can play on all of the other servers except the new WebAfrica servers. What do I do?

Could you give me the ISP name that you are using & the IP address of the WebAfrica server that you're trying to connect to?

I'm guessing that either the WebAfrica server IP address falls out of the local IP ranges that we use for local stuff OR that you're not using an WebAfrica account to play on their servers...
