Hey all,

I hope someone can help:( I've installed route sentry using SAINET international and AXXESS local, problem is that outlook express doesn't want to send or recieve mail unless its only on the main connection which is SAINET!! the pop account is pop.sainetdsl.co.za and the smtp account is smtp.saix.net.

Route sentry is working perfectly, but i have to disable the one connection to get the mail to work:confused:

Hope someone has a answer for me!!!

thats 100% yes, or get a local only sainet which is allowed access to that pop server and it will work via routesentry.

It's probably a relatively simple fix to allow the IP addresses of your mail servers to go out via the international link rather than the local (this seems to be what is happening). I don't know route sentry, so I haven't a clue where you would edit the routes file. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable about it will post soon.

i would have thought that the servers would be accessible from any SAIX account if SAINET is a SAIX reseller.

Axxess is being used for local-only, and from Axxess' website:

Excluded from the ADSL Local Only service:
1) SMTP Servers - Customers will not be able to relay e-mail via any SAIX SMTP server.

So outgoing will have to be routed via your intl. account, but you should still be able to retrieve your mail using the local account.
