Anybody else having issues with route sentry and mweb landing pages? In particular the "you have been capped locally" one?.

I've found that when I go to certain sites (bbc.co.uk//google.co.za//others really) it redirects me to the landing page, so I assume route sentry classifies these as local sites tries to use the mweb connection and BAM! landing page.

Question in short without being overly technical etc :
I've never really checked the install folder or asked many questions about Route Sentry, because I never needed to, but is there a way I can redefine the route sentry routing table to mark google.co.za // bbc.co.uk// whatever as international? :o

Any help would be appreciated :3

I have the same problem, just started from last week

It could be that most of those websites, while correctly classified as international, make use of things that are listed as local, but aren't. If that makes sense. You should read up on the routesentry web page regarding its usage.

On Linux, using static routing and the routes from alm.za.net, I don't have any issues.

When you say you get that page 'in particular' does that mean you occasionally get other other landing pages too? I assume you are using your uncapped mweb local as your local connection?

same problem here. irritating as hell.

but, i did notice that my netgear pci card and route sentry are causing my pc to freeze at random times. Ever since I have gone over to ipcop, no problems.

Makes total sense yes, marked as international but sources say a local add from whateveraddserv listed as local, but which in turn gets it internationally ;)

Four days till the new Ubuntu release, I'll give it a go then.
Poked around on alm, I see no routing tables anywhere :(

No, not at all, I was just identifying it specifically, as this is the first month mweb has had this particular landing page. The other ones are totally harmless :D

The exact url can be found on the forum. Search dual kubuntu

Just read most recent posts in ant1b0dy's routesentry thread. Edit your localroutes.dat

sn3rd there is nothing that jumps out at me in the localroutes.dat that indicates google or bbc's IP's?

Anyone else have a solution?
