ok i've searched the forums for answers on route sentry but got complicated ways on setting it up... If someone could explain to me how to setup route sentry on the Billion 800VGT router it would be much appreciated. Please try and keep it as simple as possible:o

go onto your modem. usually 10.0.0.2(type 10.0.0.2 in the adress bar). Username and Password is admin go onto interface setup and usually there is the question bridge interface: enabled or disabled and enable it

To put a Billion into Bridge mode, go to "Quick Start" in the Web GUI and change the WAN Protocol to Pure Bridge LLC or if it uses PPPoE with pass-through, then you don't need to change anything...you will be able to dial through the router no problem.

Thanks got everything working now:D

Last question... is there any way to check which connection im using when browsing sites?

Interesting q but I don't think so. The router will route each tcp connection separately, so text and different images/objects (which are retrieved separately by your browser) on a page could arrive via different connections.

Anybody know more about this?

look when your connections get connected it looks like a lan connection and just check which one is Local and Which one is international and just check which one is giving activity when opening a site.

Ok here comes the noob bomb, but I am pretty new to this and seriously irritated at getting capped so quick, but am I correct in saying that I have 2 accounts where I have my 2gb blended, and then once that is reached I have 20 odd Gb local, Or is this considered 1 acc?

If it is 1 acc, would it be possible with Route Sentry, to "switch off" international and only use your local bandwidth?

It is one account.

No. The Local only comes into effect once you have finished the "Blended" (ie. International and Local mixed)

I would suggest you get a Axxess Local Pre-Paid for 12 a GB.
