Router problem or not?

Hi All

I disconnected the ADSL line from the router. It still happens.
This means it comes from within windows.

Shot in the dark, have you installed the latest version of your network drivers downloaded from the manufacturers website? If this has been done, you should check for processes causing a bottleneck on either CPU or LAN load. Do you have any services like a media center running on the computer that could cause this?

The problem is most likely with your network card and/or it's drivers. Try a different network adaptor, even a USB WiFi dongle will do. If that's not possible, try a different PC. Borrow a laptop from a friend/colleague/relative. Alternatively try a smartphone or tablet? If you are on Android, iOS or Windows Phone, there are free apps available to do pings, tracerts and other networking tools.

Will start up my other Laptop. Had a got and hard look at my drivers, they are up to date.
Will also try my iPad and get som utilities.
Dont know if their are any USB3 to ethernet port card availble.

I use most of the time my smartphone for download purpose.

Edit:
After a long search I found a driver from the Realtek site, dated 22-10-2012.
installed this driver and behold it works. Some of the pings go up to 15ms.
Ping statistics for 10.0.0.2:
Packets: Sent = 361, Received = 361, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 15ms, Average = 0ms
some stats.

Tnx to all that contributed, have a blessed New Year.
