I'm a very happy RAIN customer and I'm currently getting 5G speeds in excess of 500Mbps when connected over Ethernet to CPE Router.
When connected to same router over Wi-Fi my speeds are less than 50Mbps no matter which device is connected.
Clearly not a rain issue, any reason why perhaps? Is it my set-up?

You're never going to get the same speeds over wifi as direct ethernet to the CPE. What standard is your wireless using? 802.11g is limited to 54mbps. Even if your router supports 802.11n (up to 450mbps) if the device connects in 802.11g mode, then it will be limited to that. Have you tried another wifi channel? The one you are using may have noise.

^This is great advice from a troubleshooting perspective - also Wifi is more susceptible to interference and blockages so if there are walls between you and the router your speeds will tank, worse so if there is reinforced concrete.

What you might want to do is look into getting a dedicated device or set of devices to distribute and manage your WiFi that are more spread out around the house / property. That way the CPE will the the gateway to the internet and your devices connect to these wifi access points

Yes, make sure your wifi coverage is great. A poor signal from a few rooms away will not give optimal speed. As @powermzii has stated, consider investing in wifi extenders. Just make sure they are not limited to 50 or 100mbps or the like.

The CPE gives 2 channels of wifi. The one channel wont exceed 50mbps and the other one will give you 5G speeds. Also only noticed it a few weeks ago

Depending on the size of the property you want to cover, consider a mesh Wi-Fi solution. Most are now affordable and support in excess of 900Mbps speeds and MU-MIMO.

Do you mind giving more details please? Even when I'm next to router speeds are bad from a Wi-Fi perspective? Are you referring to the 5G/2.4G settings?

Like if you search for wifi on your phone, the router gives 2 wifi channels. Names on ky side are as follow:

HUAWEI-5GCPE-F914 -Max 40mbps

and then

Huawei-5GCPE-5G-F914 -5G speeds

Hope I'm on the same page as you.
