the BiPAC 7300GA is turning out to be a real piece of ****. i've heard that the netgear ones are really good...

-my q is, which one is really good and will not go sour all of a sudden even with the latest firmware ?

What's the Billion's issue? Maybe I can help you sort it out, I've got a 7300M and it's a cool router ;)

Get a Linksys WRT54GL, meaning you can use the solution one of the forumites developed to route traffic between local and international.

Although be aware that you will have to use your current router as a modem as the WRT54GL is not an ADSL modem.

i think something inside it broke or along that lines. i would have sync and then somewhere along the line the pc's connected to it won't surf or lost their network connection so no accessing the web or any other resource.

which like last night are fixed if i go restart router or restart with factory defaults and now to the list without changing anything drastic my raspppoe reports tcp/ip protocols has gone to the blues please change, this now from one pc dailing. after a few dials usually 3 its connected.

unfortunately i have another router, lol but out of my newbness i got a router only without a modem AND that thing doesn't support bridge connections - this now being a while back.

in short its like the router just stops working as it should after something or certain amount of time - which i had done the firmware update to supposedly sort the 'hang' issue out, but this morning again - nothing only thing had to be done to fix it was switch it off and back on.

the thing also restarts when i do a simple save to rom operation which i shouldn't.....

o well there's router story so far.

I have the exact same problem with my 7300M, I think this isn't as much the problem of the router, but rather "line quality", if there was rain or lots of moisture, then I have this problem, otherwise I don't.
