Routesentry

Hi all. I like your forum very much. I've got ADSL 4 meg and this modem: http://www.smc.com/index.cfm?event=viewProduct&localeCode=EN_ZAF&cid=1&scid=119&pid=1641

Can anybody please tell me how to set it up to use routesentry and also how to set up routesentry on my Vista pc.

Follow those insturctions first... As its a bit of a process, look on your router usually where you enter your username and password for something called bridging or something to that effect

Most modern ADSL router/modem combinations like that one have a Bypass or Half-Bridge mode, which will mean that the router can run like it currently is running, and it will let dial-up connections work at the same time.

Look for "half-bridge" or "pass-through" or "with-bypass" in the configuration menu of the router.

I have been using Route Sentry without any problems on Vista 64, Home Premium....well at least till this morning!

Now all I get ..

Ahh, no problem, except one their is no new Route sentry version?

Only the current v0.05 beta 5 [559 Kb] (VISTA ONLY)

So mailed our ex SA friend and asked for update, help, if I get a reply will let you know, and if anybody knows how to resolve this please let me know.

I put the file in the same folder as the original route sentry. Note this is for vista.

I tried that one this morning Spikey, doesnt work like the prev one. Note the Hacked Edition for beta 4 only

Yip also tried it , that one is only for beta 4 ..no can do !
