Hi there,
I recently bought a Rover 75 in Cape Town and I am looking for someone to service it. Who can you recommend?
Not sure why you expect special service because it's a Rover.
Because MG as a company no longer exist, so getting decent service would be more difficult and therefore important?
What would one expect to be done differently on a Rover than on a Jaguar, for example, when it comes to a service?
First thing that comes to mind is parts, the Rover 75 is not like any recent MG products, it is an old car, so waiting times and scarce parts might be a concern, the same could be said if you were to pick up an old Jaguar although the fact that Jaguar is till here might make things a little better.
In terms of service it's still an internal combustion engine, so nothing out of the ordinary.
This, plus the fact it's not a common car. In theory any mechanic could work on it, but someone who knows the car and engine is always going to trump someone who doesn't.
Thanks. Phoned Classically British - they were great. Appreciate!
