Where would be a good place to purchase a rowing machine from and what make?

Thanks!

I dunno about makes but Sportsman's Warehouse comes to mind.

Holy poop, is that what they cost now? :wtf:

I picked one up similar to the below on gumtree a few years back for like R400 (granted it's not close to high tech, but it worked out alright). I think it's still seeing service at my cousins place.

These are pretty cool, however, i have heard the concept2 machines are awesome

Holy ****....****...****...**** @ prices

Makro have the Trojan brand versions which are relatively cheap and on special often like this : http://www.makro.co.za/p/4970/trojan-colorado-360-rower/ .I have one of those, a cheap[er] way to find out it is still pretty boring thing to do in your living room :). I can't complain about its reliability though, was as good as the ones i used in the gym.

Now i'm rowing for real on a dam, much better and a kayak is cheaper than a freaking rowing machine!

Yes it is. I mounted an LCD screen and a raspberry Pi in front of it and watch video/music while rowing. To kill the boredom and motivate you, Concept II has an online rowing community where you can row with other people over the web.
