The Royal Household department which caters for the needs of King Goodwill Zwelithini has requested R18 million from the provincial legislature, the Mercury reported on Wednesday. The king has asked for R6 million to build a palace for his sixth wife, Queen Zola Mafu. He also wants R12 million to build a new house at Nkonyeni palace.

OMG he gets R60+ million each year and he still wants moar? What value does this knob add to our lives and to the country that our money is being gifted to him?

The King and other traditional leaders deliver lots of votes to the ANC. It's like political blackmail. By the way Zwelithini is not the only King/Chief receiving government stipend.
 
Although I am in complete agreement that Zwelethini is a ***** ****** ******** scoundrel, how is this any different to the Royal Family in England?

The Royal Family generate millions and contribute to society/charity.

I wonder if the 'king's' children do military service ?
