Not sure. But it's a fact that Telkom have increased the price you pay for access. Yes actual data cost from isps may have come down But access is increasing.
As for mobile? Well we all know what's happening on that front now.

Not quite... the POTS line rental increased (Telkom tax) but the ADSL rental and the Data costs decreased by much more.

What I have been saying about ADSL for many moons is that it is not always about the price. It appears that Telkom capitulated (and were also probably regulated to do so) and dropped prices for ADSL rental and ADSL data. HOWEVER... the issue is the quality of the service!!

Sounds great to make uncapped dirt cheap and up line speeds for free every year or two. Everybody jumps up and down and applauds it.

Then reality sets in and congestion bites!!!

Yup especially when progress on networks is slow or non existent.

Wasn't there a court order where Telkom has to bring the IPC price down for 3 years (this year being the last) and keep it at least constant for the next two.
Only increase has been the Telephone line.
