Could not find anything regarding this, but is there anyone who is leasing a line with them and that can tell me the performance of the line? I am using telkom and my line is almost "perfect" I just want to know if the performance is good so that I can pay less for my 10 meg line.

kkthx

it's the EXACT same thing, you just pay RSAWEB the money instead of Telkom.

so is RSAWEB a company owned by Telkom? coz from what I know is that Mweb does a similar thing but they lease the line by Telkom at the same price as what I lease it by Telkom....

Anyways just a bit curious as to how they are doing the thing....

Its called reselling what telkom is already selling.

Ie. you buy line from RSAWeb, which RSAWeb is buying from Telkom. RSAWeb acting as a middle man, negotiating a cheaper price for you. Thus its the same thing really, the path of the money is just different.

Ah ok I'm catching on now....just thought they might need to roll out infrastructure to your house....that is all

What is the backbone of RSAWEb?

Is it IS / SAIX / CyberDale?

mmmm not sure about that one there Dews.....

edit: they say they on the largest backbone in RSA.......SIAX? don't know.. :(

Pity that you have to buy a gig from them in order to take advantage of the cheaper line rentals

Yes i also just checked that, so sad, but check this out...

The line rental for 1mbps from Wazzup is only R245 per month, and you get a free gig (unshaped), without the need to buy any bandwidth.

The same rental from RSAWEB is R211, gooi a 1gig (R29) and it turns out as R240, so its actually R5 cheaper than Wazzup.

I would take this 1gig offer if their backbone is IS, but not if it is SAIX (I am not close enough for a good latency).
I have read on their 10mbps page, that the backbone is SAIX, but maybe that is only for the 10mbps line, and not the rest...

If anyone know differently, pray tell.
