I ordered fibre with RSAweb and openserve over a month ago...i tried their live chat and apparently they were waiting for confirmation of the address...why not ask me then, why must i chase up...its another 2 weeks later and no feedback, so now i must chase again? I know they are just the ISP but at least provide feedback...Ridiculous

What a joke...6 weeks of waiting and they tell me now my order was cancelled because theres no fibre in the complex...yet 2 weeks ago they wanted me to confirm the details which showed Fibreavailable status: working. We definately have openserve in the complex..nobody came to look so how can they say no fibre...wtf

So i wouldve waited forever without even knowing they cancelled my order

Happy to help with a quick coverage check. :)

Hmmm, i'm not sure why i didnt go with afrihost initially, my LTE is already with you guys. I think it was that dodgy ISP of the year that i saw that convinced me to go with them. I do have coverage according to the coverage map on the site.

I'll wait a couple days...i have someone from openserve who is supposed to call...and someone from RSAweb. If they don't sort it out or if i have to signup again then i'll go with afrihost.

Question: if my LTE is with you guys do i just do the change package from clientzone?

You would need to submit a cancellation for the LTE and signup for Fibre as we do not currently have a migrate from LTE to Fibre tool.

I'd prefer to cancel the LTE once the fibre is sorted, i dont have much faith in timelines, especially after this 6 weeks of waiting for nothing.

RSAWeb is a terrible ISP...I regret signing up with them. They take forever to get back to you about anything...even if it's an upgrade. It took them a week to upgrade my line with no communication. Also when there are power issues at to their offices, they seem to not have the redundancy to keep their customers live.

I would never suggest them. There is a reason why they are "cheap". The Google reviews they brag about makes no sense.

Hi TofuMofu, please inbox me your details so that I can follow up with our projects team as to the status of your fibre line, I do apologise for the delay.

I wouldn't go near RSAweb. Within one day of speaking to AfriNatic I actually have a date scheduled for Saturday already for fibre installation with vodacom. He did a proper investigation into why they said I had no fibre coverage (only partial coverage in the complex)...RSAweb couldn't even tell me the order was cancelled or the reason why after I waited 6 weeks for nothing. I was also meant to get a call from someone from RSAweb to give me details...that never happened either.

It already got upgraded after I complained. 7 days for an upgrade is not good though.

Notice how their rep only asked you...the existing customer. No sorry for my experience lol..says it all. Few days earlier you may have had a customer, but i'm happy :)

There is something going on at RSAWEB that no-one is willing to explain
Is it a hardware issue in their office?
Is it equipment failure?

My router disconnects 8 to 10 times a day for between 10 and 20 mins. At random. Every single day since their service started

I am told there is a contract, I cannot cancel. A contract works both ways. I pay for service and you deliver. However, you are not delivering and cannot find out why

"Sorry for the inconvenience" does not cut it.

No-one can tell me what this router message means:

Its obviously nonsense as at this moment, there is service

@chrisc Try replacing the network cable connecting your router to ONT. "WAN port unplugged" could be a result of a faulty cable or bad crimping (if the cable is a made up one)

I have replaced this 3 times. I made up the last one using Cat6 cable and RJ45 plugs. It tests 100% on a LAN tester. Its also 310mm long

I have a similar problem, the router changes its setting to Afrihost as default provider. I have to reset it almost daily to RSAWeb as default provider. The next morning it's back on Afrihost. I have tried to set it to manual search for the default provider, but it still changes to Afrihost.
