The last Rugby game I played was EA Sports Rugby 2008. I enjoyed that one. Maybe I should get this one... Will look at some YouTube videos first.

EA rugby 2008 was great, the 1st 2 Rugby challege han 1 problem sometimes the 1st receiver was not the fly-half but the wing.

Rugby challenge has come along way, this is much better than rugby world cup 2015, and EA Rugby 08 is still the best one out.
Will get RC3 and see how it compares

It's R4 cheaper on Takealot Best part is that it's got a player creator similar to Don Bradman cricket where you can share players that have been created by the community so you've always got up to date teams. Also, with the new Currie Cup format coming into the game, hope it matches Currie Cup 2016 with the African International teams playing in our currie cup.

The "Rugby Challenge 3" release date has been announced.

Tru Blu Entertainment has confirmed that the "Rugby Challenge 3" release date will be in the final quarter of 2015 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. "Rugby Challenge 3" is currently being developed by Aussie studio Wicked Witch Software.

IGN reported that the game will feature 11 competitions, which includes Super Rugby, New Zealand's domestic ITM Cup and South Africa's Currie Cup. Rugby Sevens will also be featured.

"Rugby Challenge 3" will feature Rugby powerhouse teams under official license such as the Springboks, Wallabies, All Blacks and England, among others. A new addition to the game is the Be a Pro mode which will allow players to join a club team as a rookie and work on their career for over 13 seasons.

"'Rugby Challenge 3' builds on the success of previous games to take the franchise to a new level with the best of the best Rugby Unions," Tru Blu managing director Sebastian Giompaolo said. "We are excited with the evolution of the new generation of consoles pushing graphics into a stunning new zone. The new consoles compliment 'Rugby Challenge 3' perfectly."

The upcoming game will also feature a user-generated content tool, named the FanHub. It allows players to create custom players and teams which can be shared online in all supported platforms. The "Rugby Challenge 3" FanHub is now available for free in Steam.

Different game modes include Single Match, multi-team Competition, extensive multi-year Career Mode, Be a Pro Mode and Online Multiplayer Mode. "Rugby Challenge 3" has crisp next-gen graphics as well as increased resolution and textures.

Commentary will be voiced by seasoned Rugby commentators Grant Nisbett and Justin Marshall, who was previously a player from All Blacks. French language commentary will be by Eric Bayle and Thomas Lombard.

The "Rugby Challenge 3" release date is slated between October and December this year.

EA rugby 2008 was great, the 1st 2 Rugby challege han 1 problem sometimes the 1st receiver was not the fly-half but the wing.

It is still the best rugby game around which happens to be the last one published by EA Sports, many mods and rosters available to download. HB Studios also released RWC 2011, though similar to Rugby 08 it lacked anything new, licencing and was one under Rugby 08. Rugby 15/RWC 2015 is a complete disaster, which question why Rugby 08 and RWC 2011 was so much better… Funding?

Neither did the Rugby Challenge games compare in quality (other than graphics) to Rugby 08 or even RWC 2011.

Anyway, Rugby 08’s graphics are reasonable, can’t compare with FIFA though… here are some mods.

I have the first Rugby Challenge game on PC and back when it was released it was the best graphics and physics for any Rugby game at the time. The graphics engine in this 3rd iteration looks exactly the same as the first which is concerning. Can anyone confirm?

I have ordered mine from Takealot. Will be delivered 30 Nov as that is the official release date (according to TakeAlot.com).

Also has 7s as one of the game modes. Should be fun
