Rugby World Cup will only be on DStv

There are ALOT of other ways to watch the World Cup without DSTV. But if people want to keep paying ridiculous prices just to keep SS1 they must do so. Else do your homework. DSTV is now existing on the incompetence of it's subscribers. I can admit I only have the dstv package with channel 144. If that becomes premium as well then oh well goodbye afrikaans.
I didn't know 144 is available on any other package than premium? Please advice as my mother-in-law is very upset when we cancelled her 114 (DSTV premium).

Kyknet , channel 144 , is available on the Extra bouquet , and otherwise Kyknet&Kie together with Via are available on the Family bouquet. So you don't need Premium for Afrikaans channels.

If you're really cheap you can sign up for a few free Windscribe vpn accounts, each account will give you 10GB/month.

Windscribe doesn't work with ITV...

Works and has always worked just fine with itv, bbc etc etc You probably did not change the windscribe server to the uk one or you did not register & login on the itv site.

Here's some proof of it running just fine on my system,
Thanks. Iplayer doesn't work so I thought ITV would be the same. My mistake.

If DStv is smart they'll create on-demand/pay-per-view packages to watch the games through streaming.

The rugby Channel 201 has been unlocked on the DSTV compact (R399) package. If that is available over the duration of the World Cup I think that's probably the best offer you are going to get from DSTV.

Ends today. It was in prep for the world cup.

Nope that ends before the WC

Talk about dangling the bait. I may have to upgrade to the Premium package then for the duration of the World Cup, to avoid becoming the most unpopular dad in the world.

With the difference that it is a once off, not a monthly recurring rear end shafting ...
DSTv is month to month so no one stops you subbing and then cancelling after the tournament ends or when your favourite team bombs out 3 games in or something.

Some questions:
1. Using the free Windscribe connections and not the paid ones?
2. Which player do you use to play ITV?
3. Do you have to sign up to IPTV and is it free? I guess you need VPN set to UK when doing this?

I have some UK tv channels running via M3U streams on KODI but it's too choppy for my liking. I want to try the IPTV player route. I hope it will work on a Litbox.

Plus with DStv you get Premiere League and LaLiga and cricket.
