Well Mercs are for old people and they're probably more sensitive to road feedback.

As a young person, I'd take an AMG merc over an M-car any day of the week.

I'd take that A45 over an M135i...

Merc's definitely done well to shake its staid image over the last decade or so, and oh my sack the AMG V8s sound glorious. But, when it comes to driving experience, I'll follow Merc's own 'Best or Nothing' advice and go for 'Sheer Driving Pleasure' instead.

Back to the point, next best thing might be that foam stuff you pump into a puncture and a portable pump. Ought to be quicker than changing a wheel or having to wait for the AA.

Cars with normal tyres and tyres pressure monitors normally don't actually monitor the tyre pressure, they monitor the circumference of the wheel by comparing wheel speed. As a tyre deflates the rolling circumference decreases and the warning is activated. This won't work with run flats

2005 - 2007 BMW E90 with runflats also monitors the circumference of the wheel by comparing wheel speed. BMW actually used the old term "FTM" instead of "TPMS".
