Hi Guys.

I am setting up another office PC, and I want to be able to access the e-mail and accounting software on my PC off the other PC. I currently use Turbocash and Thunderbird. How could I go about doing this ... previously, when I have tried to access my PC from a network, it asks for a password that isn't there ... and I have tried various solutions I found on the net to no avail. Perhaps one of you can give me some advice/help on this matter. I need to be able to access my e-mails without downloading them to another PC and then having to have them stored on two different PC's, cause that'll be a nightmare.

Regards

It's probably asking for the guest password, which by default doesn't exist. You can just create a password for the guest account, then try accessing it again over the network. TurboCash can be run over the network, I think the main PC needs to be setup as the server so that other PC's can connect to it. I also use TurboCash and I tried setting it up on the network but couldn't get it right.

For a Temporary solution install UltraVNC (Server) on your PC, and the viewer on the other PC, you'll be able to control your PC from the Other PC.

Remote Desktop would be the easiest. Just Create another account for yourself on the PC you want to access, and enable remote desktop (Right click My Computer).

Better still install Hamachi on both PC's and create a group.
This is the easiest way.

Thanks for the help guys ... I'll try out some of these solutions
