Indeed. My checks just showed that asteroid remains in space, meteor enters the atmosphere and, as you say, a meteorite hits the surface. Thanks.

Perhaps if MyBB sorted out their search function this would not happen.

It is indeed. I battle to find anything with the MyBB search. It also would not help if you searched for asteroid and the other thread title, more correctly, referred to it as a meteor. Although, to be totally accurate it was a meteorite as it hit the earth.

Actually at the moment I posted no actual impact was confirmed hence it was a meteor.
 
LOL. Three words for the same thing.

Journos will have to say that astronomers identified an astroid that was approaching the earth. Five days later, people could see the same meteor flying across the sky. AUthorities are now trying to quantify the damage cause by this very same meteorite.
