Ryobi rebranding???

Is anyone else also noticing that some Ryobi products are now rebranded to Steco??

Not a rebrand.. Ryobi is simply a licensed named, slapping it onto power tools made by China..

Same thing for Steco, they are buying power tools from the same place as Ryobi and slapping their name on it..

Had a Ryobi drill for close to 25 years that was abused and never gave in. Only the chuck had to be replaced.
Every cordless tool I own is Ryobi and none have given any problems.

Other Techtronic Industries brands include AEG, Milwaukee and Hoover.

People saying Ryobi is re-labelled Chinese junk don't know what they are talking about.

Same here, 3 years in and the only reason it didn't start was lack of fuel haha

Ryobi makes a large range from utter trash diy stuff to ok but nothing amazing professional range.
I have been burnt by their diy tools before so I make a wide berth around them and the pro range isn't particularly well priced so why bother.

Got Steco compressor and there are few brands like Ryobi that have identical unit.

I have 900W 115mm grinder from them for the last 20 years and that thing just works, got Makita on special just as backup last month and both are solid.
Impact wrench (I have driver) is on my list for some time, Dewalt is too expensive, Bosch I need battery and it is pricy so I'm checking Ingco.
They have presence for quite a long time, line-up is decent and not that expensive but somehow I just can not pull the trigger.....

My experience has been the same. Fallen for the cheap price trap one too many times with Ryobi and now I only buy Bosch powertools. I've lost count of the number of Ryobi lawnmowers and power tools I've burnt out after only a few uses.
