S-Video cable - 8m+ ?

Anyone know where I can get hold of a S-Video (or S-VHS as it's also known) cable at least 8 meters long? :confused:

I've been hunting for ages... digital planet is the only place I could find that had it in their product listings... but when I tried to order one they told me it was no longer available.. :(

Any ideas?

Make one? Take an existing one - cut it in half and splice in the wire from an ethernet cable.
 
um 8 metrre maybe to long for the signal to get through without errors, it's like the usb cable can only go up to 2metres before errors and shyte come through

I thought of that, but ethernet cable is completely unsheilded...
I'm already using a patched 10m composite video cable, which works mostly OK, but has some irritating "fuzz" coming through which I guess is due to interference.. maybe?

Well if digital planet has 9m long ones in their listing like this (even though they can't source it anymore :rolleyes: ) - Then I must assume it's viable and should work...


Actually if I could get hold of a component-vga adapter cable for my BenQ MP610 video projector then that would be best... but I can't seem to find any info on it at all.
Anyone know of a store that specialiazes in BenQ?

Well I emailed pcmall asking them about this cable seeing as they sell this particullar projector... and they have informed they can get hold of the cable... cool! :)
