If Telkom Mobile is advertising it at R260, they must give it to you at R260.

Just take a screenshot of the offer. ;)

I see the Samsung S4 mini has 2 different prices on the website.

It is only R9 difference so not a big deal, just wondering which info is correct

R260 @ http://www.telkommobile.co.za/plans/plan/smartplan-100#25
R269 @ http://www.telkommobile.co.za/deals/?page=2

Both is the Smartplan 100.

A bit confused how the website has different prices in different locations.

Not trolling - do you have to take the S4 mini

Setup one over the weekend for friend, and it's really not worth it (imo) - I found it sluggish and unresponsive and the screen really is very small - much better value in the S4

Just saying before you commit...

:D

The Huawei Ascend P6 is a much better phone. It has much more premium hardware features found in the higher end phones with a better build quality.

I say go S4 or P6 but no Mini's.

Naw you have a legit opinion on it. I haven't tested one yet, but I find the S4 is sooo BIG. I just want a smaller phone. Looking for ~4" .

Then obviously I would prefer a contract that has at least 100 minutes and preferably below R300/month.

The P6 looks like a great phone, but I will have to port my number away from Telkom it seems if I want it, I don;t see it on the TelkomMobile website.

You get used to the bigger screen very quickly - that said, I have an Xperia T which is a nice balance from a size perspective.

But that S4 mini....eish - I thought it would 'feel' better / faster than my almost 18 month old Xperia T, but the T feels so much better.

I have a contract that is due for upgrade, but quite frankly, the offers are shocking at the moment so I'm going to hang ten for a while.

I've had my S4 mini for 2 months and love it but Samsung should drop the S4 branding on it as its not a minified version of the S4.

And as for the screen, well it compares to the iPhone.

Agree - it's entirely possible that that skewed my impression even more - I had setup an S4 an hour or so beforehand, and it really felt like I was stepping backwards in time.

I suppose the best advice would be to go into a shop and play around with one a bit if you can.

As cbr points out, he is happy with his mini :D

To add to what the others are saying.

If you're dead set on getting a Samsung then go for the S3 (not mini). Its a much better device than the mini versions
