S60 phones.... Anti Theft Software

Most of you already heard about the software on the new Samsungs.

The software notifies a selected number once another Sim is in that phone, sends you the Cell number, the network they are using etc.

Good news I have found the software for the Nokia range of phones....

It's called Phone Guardian.

Found it.... This is a .sis file you just upload to you phone and it instals itself.

While this is a great app, IMO Nokia should have installed it as standard across their N-range of phones (which are expensive enough as it is). Consumers shouldn't have to pay for security - it's just another way of exploitation.

it shouldnt run on s80. the s60 v3 is a seperate platform and the program should only run on that platform

only for smart phones, the main reason is probably because the app set it self up so that it starts up in the background when the phone is turned on.

Stupid phones can't do that

The problem I think is that it was created by a Third party only after the release of these phones. I honestly think that going forward this will be on all the smart phones.... If nokia is prepaired to invest in this feature.

Think it is bound to happen especially seeing Nokia included the capability to download and install a free AV client (FSecure) on the recent N phones.

Cellies have been rated to be the exploit and attack platform in 2007, time will tell, but no doubt vendors will have to protect themselves with whatever means necessary.
