SA ADSL just went to hell?

Browsing is being abused

Since everybody has been usin ADSL for browsing web sites, Telkom has decided that to prevent other users that do nothing from being influenced negatively by the people that abuse this service, that the http port will also be prioritised to the lowest levels. People will thus have to invest in software that enable port switching for http and time wasted to enable this switch before they will be able to browse at workable speeds again

Axxess told me that Telkom were playing around with the ADSL network in Capetown, which may have affected people in some way. Has anyone managed to get anything out of the Telkom NOC

Ive been having problems with my wireless connection as well.. by international downloads topped out at 30KB/s instead of 32
