SA could implement 4 hour work days as a minimum wage compromise: report

Business and labour unions have reached an impasse on South Africa's new minimum wage as both groups fight over what will constitute the new minimum work day.

I think the more hours/less days option will benefit people more in a couple of ways.

1 extra day to completely rest
1 less day to spend on commuting.

It would be nice if working less hours/days can be an option. I would like to downscale on real work and focus more on private work, but forcing this as a minimum wage issue through the unions is just going to f@ck everything up.
