SA couple robbed while on Zoom call

An elderly South African couple who moved to Swakopmund for a quieter life was attacked in their home, and participants of a Zoom video call witnessed the bloody assault, Rapport reported.

In my opinion, just hang them.

Violent crime is such a big problem in South Africa and they will just be out again in no time.

My MIL was robbed at knife point in her bedroom last week. Fortunately she was not hurt as she called my father and the skelm ran away.

Could easily have been much worse.

The death penalty is the only deterrence for these crimes. Now listen carefully, I do not give a single f**k about so-called "statistics" saying this is not true or there are more violent crimes in countries with the death penalty. They are all fake statistics. The death penalty is a deterrence and works well. Hang these bastards and make an example of them. There are numerous advantages to the death penalty, not only will they ever come out again and commit their crimes again, but other people will read and hear about this and rather stay away from committing violent crimes. You keep prisons emptier. You save taxpayers money. Governments saves money. Just keep hanging them.

I'll donate the rope, f@$k knows if this useless government buys it, it will cost something like R1000 per metre.

They should have killed the attackers it will save lives in the long run as these three will kill people next time and there will be a next time.

Yes, it has been proven time and time again. Once you commit these crimes you will continue to do so. There is no possibility for rehabilitation. They simply wait to get out of jail and start committing it again.

Did you read the article?

They were robbed in Namibia.
Plenty of Mybb members clearly failed the comprehension test at school

I would say the big difference between SA and Namibia at this point was that even if the police witnessed this happening infront of them in SA they would do nothing about it.

No bUt wE gOt hUMan riGhts in SA:rolleyes:

More and more I feel like criminals have way more rights in SA compared to ordinary citizens

yeah we keep getting told how vigilantism is a bad thing, nonsense.
The state is incapable of dealing with criminals, let the people do it

You can't really blame him.
Violent crimes happen everyday in South Africa.

And even with public looting and violence, like what happened in KZN and JHB, the ANC government doesn't do much. How can they? They will not do anything to their cadres and voters.

According to the article, the robbers in Namibia were apprehended by neighbourhood watch members.

And further down, the Amberfield estate robbery in Centurion was interrupted after the estate security were called, it doesn't mention why the estate security allowed the robbers into the estate to start with.

Another big difference between SA and Namibia, is that in SA, some SAPS members are all too often committing crimes themselves, I doubt that happens as much in Namibia.
